Planning & Development Consultant

Following acquiring two professional degrees, in Landscape Architecture and Community and Regional Planning, Mark served as a city planner in Vancouver, helping lead the vision and policy work for what became the award winning Olympic Village. He then established and served as the first Manager of the City of Vancouver’s Sustainability Office.

After leaving public practice, he cofounded two consulting firms over the following decade, helping build them into one of the largest planning firms in Canada – Holland Barrs Planning Group / HB Lanarc Consultants.

After selling the consulting firm in 2011, Mark moved into the real estate industry full time, serving as the VP of Development for the New Monaco project in the Okanagan Valley’s wine country and then subsequently for the large Foothills project in Lantzville BC, on Vancouver Island.  He remains now involved in both projects.
